Are We a good fit?
If you are looking for an active therapist who will dig in and work hard with you while also laughing at the absurdity of this journey we call life, I’m for you! If you’re looking for someone to tell you what to do and fix things for you, I’m probably not your cup of tea. The clients I work best with are motivated, honest with themselves (even when that is really hard to do), and willing to try new things both during and between sessions. I am not available 24/7, so I am not a good fit for clients in crisis.
How much do you charge?
I charge $200 per 50-minute session. If we plan to meet for a longer or shorter amount of time, I prorate sessions and extra between session contact in 15-minute increments.
Do you take insurance?
I am not on any insurance panels. Some insurance providers provide “out-of-network” coverage. If you have this, you are welcome to request billing statements that contain all the information required to submit to your insurance. If this is an important factor for you, please check with your insurance company for specifics regarding your out-of-network mental health coverage. I do not accept Medicare.
When/How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is due at the time of your session and I accept cash, check or credit cards. You may also be able to use your HSA debit card or submit your receipts to your HSA account for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
I charge my regular fee for sessions cancelled with less than 24-hours notice.
Are you available 24/7 in case I have an emergency and need your help?
I do not provide emergency or after hours’ care. If there is a life threatening or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. During regular business hours, I am reachable by email or phone for scheduling purposes.
